Mercury in Aries, may take on the style of thinking that conforms with The Golden Fleece [pre-Roman as in The Last Valley and The Man Who Would Be King], the Sacrificial Lamb [Roman connotations, as in Batman and Children of Men], and the Risen Lamb [Aquarian archetypes still in semi-firm status as in Secondhand Lions]; Mercury in Aries is best represented by Michael Caine when he is serving, or reporting about, his military duty. Over his life there have been dramatic changes in Caine's star chart, many on the basis of the status of his Mercury [name change from Michael Scott to Michael Caine], or the Mercury ruled Ascendant. Information - about Mercury in Aries, go House of Black

Mercury 7° Aries 26' Rx sextile Saturn, indicates practical balance between intuitive faculties and the power to control things through logical analysis. A good insight and clear business head, combined with a love of direct, efficient planning. The sextile with 'the architect' usually guarantees maximum results with a minimum of loss, if there are any residual materials when the process has reached completion. This aspect helps keep the mind open to new knowledge. For a student, prospecting in the profound themes that define life, relationships, and true perception, promises to yield new discoveries and better techniques when setting out to accomplish something.

Note: Mars 6° Virgo 03' conjunct Neptune 8° 25' indicates clairvoyant ability, psycho-kinesis, a mystic engineer [esoteric mathematics, the use of magic seals, Christian Alchemy, etc.]

Michael Caine reprised his role as Alfred J. Pennyworth in the final Batman film in the Nolan series, The Dark Knight Rises, which was released in July 2012. Alfred tries to reach Bruce Wayne in an effort to encourage he regain his grip on reality in a scene from The Dark Knight Rises:

· Do you remember when you left Gotham? Before all this, before Batman? You were gone seven years. Seven years I waited, hoping that you wouldn't come back. Every year, I took a holiday. I went to Florence, there's this cafe, on the banks of the Arno. Every fine evening, I'd sit there and order a Fernet Branca. I had this fantasy, that I would look across the tables and I'd see you there, with a wife and maybe a couple of kids. You wouldn't say anything to me, nor me to you. But we'd both know that you'd made it, that you were happy. I never wanted you to come back to Gotham. I always knew there was nothing here for you, except pain and tragedy. And I wanted something more for you than that. I still do.

Caine's scenes filmed at stately Wayne Manor took place at Wollaton Hall, Wollaton, Nottinghamshire, England. The Manor grounds include an extensive subterranean cave system that Bruce Wayne discovered as a boy and later used as his base of operations, the Batcave. The method used to access it has varied across the different storylines in the comics, movies, and shows. In the comic books, it is typically accessible from a hidden door in Wayne Manor’s study behind a non-functioning grandfather clock, which opens to a descending staircase when the hands on said clock are turned to 10:47 p.m., the time Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed. Alfred opens a hidden door in the recital room in, The Dark Knight Rises, by playing several keys on a nearby piano.

Online sources provide the following information about the honeycomb network beneath the Wayne Estate, however I have not found a way to verify the information that follows, so take this with a grain of salt:

Originally, the cave systems were used and occupied by the Miagani Tribe of natives up until the early 18th century. Many examples of their existence in the caves remains even into the 21st century. The cave systems were later rediscovered and used by Wayne ancestors Solomon Zebediah Wayne and Joshua Thomas Wayne as a storehouse as well as a means of transporting escaped slaves during the Civil War era. The 18th century frontier hero Tomahawk also once discovered a gargantuan bat (owned by Morgaine le Fey of Arthurian legend) inside the catacombs, the origin of which was a result of a curse by Darkseid to hunt and kill a time-displaced Bruce Wayne.

Bruce Wayne himself discovered the cave system initially as a child when he fell through a dilapidated well on his estate.
Upon his initial foray into crime-fighting, Wayne used the caves as a sanctum and to store his then-minimal equipment. As time went on, Wayne found the place ideal to create a stronghold for his war against crime, and has incorporated a plethora of equipment as well as expanding the cave for specific uses.

Alfred Pennyworth: A long time ago, I was in Burma, my friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never found anyone who traded with him. One day I saw a child playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine. The bandit had been throwing them away.

Bruce Wayne: Then why steal them?

Alfred Pennyworth: Because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

August 10, 2009 Why So Serious? Obama/Joker Poster Draws 'Outrage'

As FOXNews.com is reporting, the poster of Obama as the Joker with the word "socialism" under it has drawn outrage, but unfortunately for the wrong reason. The far right claims are based on the traditional American axiom, Don't Dish It Out If You Can't Take It!. This is, I guess, because someone put up a picture of Bush as an inhabitant of the infernal regions, sucking the life force out of the Statue of Liberty. Sadly the embarrassment for the rest of us who did not sleep through Psychology 101, is more about the content of the statement, rather than the right to challenge a political view.

The Joker is not about socialism or any type of political organization; the joker is about the change of life. As the Republican Party ages and enters their second change [the first is adolescence] they are projecting their own altered chemistry onto an archetype that has nothing to do with health care tactics or any other political hot potato.

    Flawless

Flawless is a 2007 British fictional crime film directed by Michael Radford, written by Edward Anderson, and starring Michael Caine and Demi Moore. It premiered 11 February 2007 in Germany.

In swinging 1960s London, Laura Quinn is a bright, driven and beautiful executive at the London Diamond Corporation who finds herself frustrated by a glass ceiling after years of faithful employment, as man after man is promoted ahead of her despite her greater experience. Hobbs, the nighttime janitor at London Diamond who is virtually invisible to the executives that work there, has amassed a startling amount of knowledge about how the company runs over the years. Hobbs has his own bone to pick with London Diamond. Observing Laura's frustration, he convinces her to help him execute an ingenious plan to steal a thermos full of diamonds--not enough to be missed in the mighty vault, but enough for Hobbs and Laura to live quite comfortable for the rest of their lives.

Dedicated suspense drama that runs on the measure of a pendulum is paced to animate a tight set of style indicators that appear to be drawn from 1960s archives, but could be superimposed on most 2014 business settings. One motif at the hub that seems to run through the story is a right-angle intersection between visible and non-visible images, in the past, present, and future tense. Parallel interaction with core themes related to Trump VI [especially gender discrimination] and Trump VIII adds atmospheric insulation, textural integrity, and rhythm based on a 4/4 ritual measure. The script is well written, augmented via the camera that tracks a fantastic view of Quinn and Hobbs' body language, as required, designated behavior at the London Diamond Corporation.
It is inspirational to witness how the human spirit makes its way through mental and physical expressions of choreographed constraint, even with newly installed surveillance monitors. Both employees are more valuable than the flawless diamonds in the company vault yet they are invisible to the old boy executives. We begin to wonder how long Quinn and Hobbs can last - the pressure is unbelievably claustrophobic; they are rejected not only by their employers but even their stone cold work space. It's a long, strange trip, and eventually the horizon widens and the multi-layered landscape is transformed.

CHILDREN OF MEN

Alfonso Cuarón
2006

    * Children of Men

The overtone of this film is spiritually ominous because part of the story closely parallels a prediction from the Vedas about the future of the human race. The prophecy states that a continued lifestyle of materialism and violence, at the core of the global collective, will eventually guarantee life shall be unable to preserve and renew itself.

The story develops as the inevitability of human courage rises and fears are slowly but surely modified. The characters are determined to beat the odds, each in their own way. How the players achieve their goals, while on the defensive, is truly inspirational. After all, according to prophecy, the United States of America shouldn't exist, yet it is here, continually re-inventing itself. Children of Men provides some good suggestions for students of our modern day aeon shift binaries.

THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING

John Huston
1975

    * The Man Who Would Be King

The Edinburgh International Film Festival

The Man Who Would be King, the Rudyard Kipling story of two ex-British soldiers who set up their own pocket kingdom in a fictional Afghanistan, stars Sean Connery and friend Michael Caine. Directed by John Huston, and nominated for four Oscars.

An old-fashioned, implausible but entertaining yarn that captured the spirit of the British colonial era. Daniel Dravot and Peachey Carnehan, ex-soldiers, con-men and adventurers, journey to Kafiristan to set themselves up as kings. The two men decide it will be easier to rule the natives if they pretend Daniel, played by Connery, is a God, a son of Alexander the Great. The Son of Alexander was expected by the descendants of the ancestors who were probably in Alexander's army. Skiander [corruption of Alexander, referring to the second coming] and Skiandergul is as Danny says, “God’s holy trowsers!” Danny is wearing the Masonic symbol that appears on a pillar in the Holy City Skiandergul, given to him by Rudyard Kipling before Danny and Peachy left for the quest. Only the high priests in the inner circle of the sacred city know about the symbol of Alexander, the all-seeing eye engraved on a golden medal worn by Danny as a heart amulet. Once the pendant is recognized, Danny is acknowledged as the son of Alexander and becomes the first to wear Alexander’s crown in 2214 years. The priests consider him a god so he receives the key to the royal treasure to do with as he likes. Inside the chamber, Danny holds up a ruby the size of a golf ball - then Peachy shows him “a bigger ruby” the size of a baseball. Everything runs like clockwork - smooth enough for Danny to begin to believe his own press - always dangerous. He tries to convince Peachy, "Everything that’s happened since the beginning with your taking brother Kipling’s watch…more than chance has been at work here! More than mere change! Why his watch and not somebody else’s? And what made him give me the emblem? One thing after the other. The avalanche, the arrow, the mark on the stone, and not to mention, another Roxanne."
Their scheme begins to unravel when Danny marries one of the local girls.

Michael Caine was busy throughout the 1970s, with successes including Sleuth (1972) opposite Sir Laurence Olivier and The Man Who Would Be King. By the end of the decade he had moved to the U.S.

This adaptation of the famous short story by Rudyard Kipling tells the story of Daniel Dravot and Peachy Carnahan, two ex-soldiers in India when it was under British rule. They decide that the country is too small for them, so they headed off to Kafiristan in order to become Kings in their own right. Kipling is seen as a character that was there at the beginning, and at the end of this glorious tale.

According to Michael Caine's homepage, While on a trip "... Michael received a phone call from John Huston, he nearly dropped the phone, this was the one director whom Michael actually idolised. John asked Michael to come and see him at his hotel, he wanted Michael to be in the film of a short story by Rudyard Kipling called The Man Who Would be King and it was to be shot in Morocco.
The night before they started shooting they were having dinner when John Huston dropped the bombshell that the girl who was to play the part of the beautiful Indian princess was no longer available. Shakira was sitting at the table and suddenly said firmly “I am not going to play the Part”. The next day John persuaded Shakira to play the part. Michael is very proud that he is in The Man Who Would be King he feels that it is one of the finest films he has been in."

The stars in Caine's progressed chart were aligned in the earth sign Taurus [Sun, Moon, and Venus all in conjunction in the first decan of the sign] and progressed Mercury was direct @ 7° Aries, in conjunction with his radix Mercury 7° Aries 26' Rx. When a retrograde planet regains its original position and continues to pass it, wonderful new possibilities open up.

New communication skills, increased group and organization activities are favored; original ideas, and increased study, reading, and short trips characterize the aspect [about 1 1/2 year in exact duplication of Mercury capacity for engaging in advertising and public relations work.]

During the year of The Man Who Would be King, Michael Caine was performing with his p Mars @ 1° Virgo, the same degree as Sean Connery's Sun. The combination helped forge the ideal partnership during the film, and later on, when the players were involved with the promotion tour.

Zulu - the 1879 Anglo-Zulu war which inspired UK and South Africa

A screening of a new digitally re-mastered version of the iconic movie Zulu took place 10th June, shown in the original wide screen format, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its release. Dozens including Britain's Prince Harry were on the red carpet at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. Representing Zulu royalty, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi was also in attendance, flying in especially for the event. Prince Buthelezi played his own great grandfather, King Cetshwayo kaMpande, in the movie.
Director Cy Endfield's daughter, Suzannah Olivier was instrumental in staging the gala, choosing to also raise funds for the charities Walking with the Wounded, Sentebale, and The David Rattray Memorial Trust, all of which Prince Harry supports.

"It's the human story really. It's not just about a battle, which obviously is a big story in itself, but it shows the pathos of the battlefield and the bravery of the Zulus as well as the white soldiers. It was bravery on all sides," Olivier said.

The epic battle at Rorke's Drift between 139 sick and wounded British soldiers against an army of 4,000 Zulu warriors was fought on 22 January 1879. The film made the most of their onsite location, Rorke's Drift - a small village deep in the spectacular hills and gullies of South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province. The war itself lasted from 22 January 1879 until 4 July but the legend will live forever.

Trump references for Zulu are the same for The 300 Spartans [Director: Rudolph Maté 1962]

There is a similar numeric line up in the celluloid world with regards to Sparta vs the Persian army on file, as highlighted in the classic Richard Egan, Ralph Richardson, Diane Baker version of The 300 Spartans. Yet the Luna-Mars ratio in ancient world (pre-Roman) cultures within that time zone was operational for both military forces in the conflict. Sparta was a city-state based on the Lunar system as designated by the Delphic Oracle and Persia also followed the Lunar cycle.
The same ratio of Moon to Mars used by military forces today, as in ZULU, will produce indomitable individuals among our modern day population: Amelia Earhardt, Charles Lindbergh, Teddy Roosevelt, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

MICHAEL CAINE - SUN AND MOON ASPECTS

Michael Caine was born with his Sun 23° Pisces 23' quincunx his Moon 23° Libra [conjunct Spica, alpha Virgo]

Great and lasting star power, comfortable surroundings and sufficiently well off; also, eminent dignity, financial independence, great happiness to parents and children. Usually indicates a strong support group and help from legal and public systems. Associated with merchants and trading companies, gain through legacies, somewhat fast and extravagant.

23° Libra 49': Spica alpha Virgo, star of renown, and riches, especially with regard to the arts
General meaning: Gain through inventions, mechanical design and engineering, success in commerce and trade. Causes marital love, cures the sick, helps sailors but hinders journeys by land. Aspect with the Sun and Moon gives success, renown, riches, a sweet disposition, love of art and science; negative: unscrupulousness and injustice to innocence.

The Moon conjunct Spica, in Hindu, carries the meaning of all our social order that is associated with the manager and the serving caste. The place is favorable for friendship, married love, purchase and making clothes and ornaments, music and auspicious deeds. Those born under the star are usually mathematicians, surgeons, oculists, clockmakers, weavers, writers, singers, manufacturers of perfumes and dealers in jewels and cloth. With Luna here at birth, there is an indication of a fondness of clothes and flowers of many colors; the native will have beautiful eyes and limbs. The influence rules water banks and the neck.

The Hindus knew Spica as Citra, 'Bright,' a Lamp [probably related to the Eternal Flame], or as a Pearl, with Tvashtar, the Artificer, or Shaper, as its presiding divinity, linked with Sirius.

My London: Michael Caine

by Anna Pursglove

Are you a member of any club?
The Mark Birley triumvirate - Annabel's, Harry's Bar and George - are the places I frequent.

What is the most beautiful landmark in London?
St James's Park is very beautiful and I also really like the Wheel. To me, the Wheel is a bit like Sydney Opera House. People thought the Opera House was a piece of crap for ages and the architect quit the project and all that. Now it's the biggest attraction the city's got.

And the ugliest?
Those Sixties tower blocks you see in Chelsea which are always described as brutalist - a very good description, I think. People shouldn't have to live in them.

What's the first piece of advice you'd give a London tourist?
Don't buy food or drink off a stall in the street.

If you were invisible for a day, where would you go in London and what would you do?
I'd go on the Tube because it's something I can't do any more without getting recognised. Having said that, the state of the Underground does worry me. Why doesn't this government want to spend any money on the capital's infrastructure?

What's the most overrated thing in London?
Whitehall. I know it's the centre of government but it's extraordinarily dull.

What do you miss most when you're out of London?
Walking. There are very few other cities - with the exception of Paris and New York - that are worth walking in.

Name a song you associate with London?
Noël Coward's 'London Pride'.

What's your most memorable night out?
It was the premiere of Alfie back in the Sixties. Everyone was there: the Beatles, the Stones. There was a pub by the Plaza - the Cockney Pride - and we had the most amazing after-show party there.

What is your favourite view?

From my flat at Chelsea Harbour. Every apartment in my block has a 360-degree view over London. I love being able to see the weather coming in and something I've noticed is that there's always a cloud over Wimbledon. Maybe they have their own microclimate.

left, Deathtrap, with Christopher Reeve

What and where is your favourite painting or work of art?
Monet's painting of the Thames and the Houses of Parliament at the National Gallery. What last made you cry? I had to cry for a scene in Shiner. The fact that my character could break down in tears was something I really liked about him - you don't normally get to play a gangster who isn't a cold psycho.

Where in London would you have your ashes scattered?
In St James's Park.

If your house were on fire, which three things would you rescue?
I wouldn't bother - I've got no interest in possessions, only people. When I decided to write my autobiography, people advised me to look back through my souvenirs and notes, which I couldn't because I haven't got any. Actually, if my house were on fire, I'd probably throw some extra stuff on it for good measure.

MICHAEL CAINE - Home and Garden

Old Mill House

Michael Caine sold his home, Mill House, located on the banks of the River Thames
to Led Zeppelin guitar wizard Jimmy Page.

Michael Caine's home page entry reads, "Michael was then in the film called The Swarm, he returned to England with a quarter of a million towards his house in America.
It was now 3rd January 1979 and Michael and Shakira were flying to Los Angeles. Michael had sold the Mill House to Jimmy Page of the Rock group Led Zeppelin for three quarters of a million pounds."

If the sale of the house was concluded in January 1979, Michael Caine's progressed Moon would have been about 27° Gemini 14', in exact conjunction with his radix Ascendant @ 27° Gemini 09'. This activation of his Ascendant cusp makes sense because Gemini loves two of everything and that would include one's residence, perhaps even dual citizenship. Domestic affairs and finances that are related to home and family are always on the front burner when the Moon activates the first house. Some aspects of the individual's opinions, delivery style, and personal appearance tend to undergo change, as the Moon often facilitates the individuation process. Part of the unconscious is transferred to the waking conscious mind.

According to a Led Zeppelin biographer, the sale took place on June 1, 1980

The Island [Director: Michael Ritchie] was released 13 June 1980 [USA]
Dressed to Kill [Writer-Director: Brian De Palma] was released 25 July 1980 [USA]

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Review by Zena Jones

Suave, only slightly rotten South-of-France scoundrel Michael Caine believes that charity begins at home. His He has no trouble convincing loaded-with-lucre ladies he’s a deposed prince raising funds to free his country’s stricken people, and that they’re contributing to a good cause. Him. So when crass, small-time con artist and Caine antithesis Steve Martin worms his way into the former’s garden of Eden, it’s wickedly witty war until the rivals make a wager. The first to extract $50,000 from the next unsuspecting female wins – the other leaves town. Enter sweet, naïve American Soap Queen Gienne Headly, and what follows makes this a Frank Oz must-see masterpiece of mirthful masochism, cessation of sanity, gallimaufry of guile, dazzlement of dialogue, tautness of timing and aptness of expression, guaranteed to leave you limp with laughter up to the unexpected ending. What does it all prove? The A-1-ness of the acting, and the wizardry of Oz.
